Privacy Policy — Cal Athletics Marketing
Effective: 2026-06-01
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy covers the Oski program (the "Program") — Cal Athletics Marketing's text alert and AI fan service. The Program is a managed fan experience that Snapp Stats, Inc. ("Snapp", "we", "us") provides to [Legal Entity] ("Cal Athletics Marketing").
Cal Athletics Marketing is the controller of personal data collected through the Program. Snapp operates the Program on Cal Athletics Marketing's behalf and acts as its data processor under their agreement. References to "we" in this Policy refer to Snapp acting on Cal Athletics Marketing's behalf unless context indicates otherwise.
Responses from the Program are generated by an AI fan service. Where required by applicable law, the AI fan service identifies itself as automated when first interacting with you.
2. Information we collect
When you opt in to the Program, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- The date, time, IP address, and user-agent of your opt-in
- The exact consent language shown to you at opt-in
- The content of messages you exchange with the Program, including any media you send
- Engagement metadata (message delivery status, read receipts where available)
- Aggregated usage analytics that do not identify you individually
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Send you messages you have requested as part of the Program
- Respond to inquiries you send to the Program
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Program (including the AI fan service that drafts replies)
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and platform misuse, and to investigate suspected violations of our Terms
- Honor opt-out requests and comply with applicable law
4. Sharing of information
We share your information only as needed to operate the Program:
- With mobile carriers, RCS providers (Google, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon), and our messaging infrastructure provider (Twilio) to deliver messages to your phone
- With service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, fraud prevention) under contractual confidentiality
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not provide your message content to third-party AI providers for the purpose of training their general-purpose models. Message content sent to AI providers is processed for the limited purpose of generating responses to you, under enterprise-tier terms that prohibit those providers from retaining the content for model training.
The Program operates from and stores data in the United States. By opting in, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing.
5. Retention
We retain your phone number and opt-in records for as long as you are opted in, plus a reasonable period after opt-out to comply with legal and regulatory obligations (typically four years for TCPA recordkeeping). Message content is retained as needed to provide service continuity and improve the AI fan service.
When you opt out of the Program, we move your mobile number to an internal suppression list and retain it there indefinitely so we do not inadvertently message you again. The suppression list is kept separate from active program data.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP (or END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT) to any message from the Program
- Get help by replying HELP to any message from the Program
- Request information about the data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion, by emailing privacy@snappstats.com. We respond within 45 days, which may be extended by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary and with notice to you.
If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"):
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
- The right to delete personal information we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to data portability
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (note: we do not engage in either)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
You may exercise these rights using the contact information below.
7. Children
The Program is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA"). If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us to have it removed.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Program.
